This artwork is from my Mini Lava Art Series inspired by solid lava fields in my native country Iceland, theme « Earth and Fire Elements ».  In crafting this small but mighty piece, I’ve harnessed the raw and primal forces of nature. Using acrylic, modeling paste and sand, I have sculpted a visceral and tactile expression that speaks to the beauty of contrast and the power of simplicity. This is a meditation on strength and resilience, a dance of light and shadow, an ode to the volcanic spirits that mold and shape our earth. It’s a reminder of the eternal interplay between creation and erosion, life and the inexorable passage of time.
